Each Lesson will include:
Interactive Song and Dance - This interactive portion of the lesson will be at the beginning of every lesson. We will begin with the same upbeat intro song that promotes consistency and familiarity from week to week as well as catch the child’s attention and focus. Other songs will vary in style from week to week and will often incorporate percussion instruments. The large movements and repetition will help develop gross motor skills and the repetition will develop memory and recognition.
Creative Time – This will be free time where child can do whatever they want. Whether it is playing with the percussion instruments, making a craft, coloring a picture or creating a song and dance, children will be given the freedom to use their imagination and create.
Musical Game/Activity – The game will involve a variety of ways to educate the child on sound recognition, rhythm, pitch, dynamics and melody as well as develop their memory, fine and gross motor skills, creativity and imagination in a fun and dynamic way.
Musical Story Time With ? – An unknown character will tell Story Time every week. This will help promote fun, excitement and anticipation in the child. Different types of sounds will be incorporated into the story to sharpen the child’s listening and sound recognition skills. Visuals may also be added to make the story come alive.
